Seems like an ordinary trip to a remote beach. Four young women enjoy the warmth of the sun, the coolness of the sea and one another's company. None of them is "Winona". They spent the day on silly games, girl talk, songs and dance. Laughter punctuated by tears, the tears washed away by make believe. Slowly the day comes to a close and our four heroines must say goodbye. An unassumingly mysterious and deeply moving story revealing itself with a language of intimacy, woven out of love and grief. Its secret will be kept till the very end.—The Boy
Four youthful women spend a delightful day at a pristine beach with only a summer house perched atop a nearby hill. Apart from a car parked nearby, no one else is in sight. Donning sunglasses reminiscent of the 1980s, the girls frolic on the sand, dive into the crystal-clear waters and joke with one another. Then, they break into song, their voices blending gracefully. As the ladies spin tall tales filled with intricate details, they dance merrily. But now and then, a shroud of melancholy seems to envelop them. What could be causing this strange mood swing?—Nick Riganas
