Summaries

A disgraced former naval officer ends up working as a telegraphist in a small island and is forced to chose between duty and his desire for revenge.

Defeated and disgraced after having a long stint in jail for a theft he didn't commit, the once-up-and-coming naval officer of the Hellenic Merchant Marine, Artemis, ends up at a God-forsaken, wind-swept island. There, he lands a job as a telegraphist, living under the same roof with the silver-haired lighthouse keeper and his sensitive daughter, Angela, unbeknownst to him that, pretty soon, his ignominious past will come back to haunt him. Then, during a violent tempest, the distress call of a small vessel in danger brings back painful memories and the insufferable burden of choice. Will Artemis succumb to his irrepressible desire for revenge and the destructive wind of hate?—Nick Riganas
