A champion rodeo rider returns home to track down a legendary wild horse called "Cyclone."

Stony makes a deal with Nye to get the wild horse Cylone for his rodeo circuit. The horse brings in big crowds as no one is able to ride him and collect Nye's prize money. Finally Stony rides him but takes the horse instead of the money. This leads to trouble when Cyclone is set free and Nye and his men go after him.—Maurice VanAuken <[email protected]>

Stony Brook (Robert Livingston) and Lullaby Joslin Max Terhune) are working at a down-at-the-heels traveling rodeo, when they receive a telegram from their partner , Tucson Smith (Ray Corrigan), as for $1000 to buy food for stock on their 3-M ranch. Stony arranges with Colonel Nye, owner of the rodeo, to secure Cyclone, a famous wild horse, in exchange for the money. Stony goes to their ranch and captures Cyclone, against the protests of Tucson and Alice Harkleu (June Martel), an artist who considers Cyclone her special charge. With the new attraction of the untameable wild horse, the rodeo turns into a money-maker and it tours several towns, with the undefeated champion still riderless. The show comes back to its hometown, and a purse of $2000 is offered to anyone who can ride Cyclone. As an alternative, the successful rider may claim Cyclone instead of the purse. Stony enters the contest and wins. He takes the horse, planing to put the Harkley brand on him and and then set him free. On the way back to the ranch, some of Nye's henchmen attack Stony and attempt to steal Cyclone. During the battle, Cyclone escapes and rides back into the hills. The Mesquiteers give a party to celebrate Stony's victory, during which Tucson plans to propose to Alice, who Story is also in love with. Rather than cut Tucson out, Stony leaves the ranch. Meanwhile Nye and his henchies are trying to recapture Cyclone with the aid of an airplane. .—Les Adams <[email protected]>
