A wagon train crossing the plains comes across the remains of other wagon trains that have been attacked by looters. Soon they too are attacked.

When Greer and his gang attack an Army detail to get food and ammunition, they kill Tex's cousin Jim. Tex then takes the job of guarding a large shipment of money via stagecoach.
