It chronicles the love relationship between a boy called Motoharu Yano and a girl called Nanami Takahashi, starting from their teenage years and continuing during their early twenties.

Sometimes love is impossible. A girl and a boy from Hokkaido in Northern Japan fall in love and pledge eternal fealty to each other. Circumstances soon separate them geographically, but the two are no less in love and soldier on with one another.
