After his girlfriend justifiably storms off and ditches him at her friend Heather's apartment, carefree Aaron asks Heather's much more responsible boyfriend Brad, whom he just met, if he can crash at their place that night. Brad and Heather eventually break up, but Aaron winds up never leaving and, over the years, strikes up a friendship with Brad that becomes a brotherhood.
