Jack, a sailor, persistently pursues Joan with gifts and marriage trickery despite her rejections. After marrying under false pretenses, Joan leaves Jack. He then tries to win her back amidst rocky circumstances.

Jack is a sailor who lives to go to sea. A typical sailor, he is always broke and has been in seven jails in the last seven ports. The one girl he tries to impress the most is in London and his mates call her 'the Eskimo'. For two years, he approaches her every time he docks near London, and for two years, Joan rejects the expensive gifts he brings her and ignores all advances he makes. She wants nothing to do with a sailor. When Jack uses trickery to convince Joan to marry him, Joan leaves him when she finds out the truth about his so-called new life. Rough seas are ahead as Jack tries to get Joan to return to him.—Tony Fontana <[email protected]>

Jack, a sailor, along with his buddies Tripod and Ginger, feels himself an indomitable force until he falls for Joan, who repeatedly repels his advances every time he comes into port, and only after a number of years is he able to see her alone. Finally he wins her and they are married, but Joan, learning he plans to return to the sea, leaves him. Later, having become a quartermaster on an ocean liner, he finds her still unforgiving; then, a storm wrecks the ship on which all are traveling, and to her grief he is lost with Tripod and Ginger, but the trio is rescued by a whaling vessel and returned to port. After receiving Jack's message, Joan, having realized her true feelings, is reunited with him.
