A group of soldiers find themselves trapped behind enemy lines in Afghanistan. Their only hope for survival is to board a specially-designed bus.

Johnny Hondo is an American mercenary who is assigned by one of his late father's colleagues to travel on a top-secret mission in Russian-occupied Afghanistan to locate and free an American officer and get out of the country with secret documents hidden on a disused bus located in the rural terrain. Assisted by a young Afghan boy, Johnny travels through hostile territory, shooting up one Russian camp after another before locating the bus and finding American prisoners held by a hostile Afghan warlord to get out of the country with the mysterious documents intact.
