Illegal salmon fishing, drug trafficking and deadly rivalries: the crime rate in the German-Czech border region is growing, which is why a new team of water police occupies the outpost on the Elbe.
As tranquil as the river Elbe may pass their provincial Saxon water police station, its four inspectors have little time for idleness. In the wake of crime, the level-headed chief Maike runs the precinct with a steady hand. Jack-of-all-trades Sami holds the fort and keeps the station vessel afloat. The up-and-coming Jana and Moritz not only have the looks but also the wits and the brains, which they put to good use in their cases: A mysterious death by drowning that leaves the quartet breathless... A fatal fishing trip, a secret love affair, and false confessions... A creepy hostage situation that, despite all deceptive calm, dramatically exposes the risks of their job... And when quarrels with their colleagues from the other side of the border cause even more turbulent waters, the four are fortunate to have each other's backs. Because they really are not just colleagues - they are a close-knit family.—Beta Film
