Without a single worry in his life, disenchanted Tonis, the wealthy and spoiled son of a successful industrialist, frequents the noisy Athenian nightclubs searching for a purpose. There, Tonis rubs shoulders with other layabouts, such as the opportunistic cornetist Alekos, and Stefanos, who is in love with Elpida, an honest girl. Before long, Elpida falls madly in love with arrogant Tonis, who decides to play with her, unbeknownst to him that she is the secretary of his father.
