Lev lives in a house on the edge of the forest with his eldest daughter Nadya and son Lyosha. Not long ago, a man's wife died, so the father is forced to take care of the children alone, but it is a sin for him to complain about them: the daughter runs the household, and the son already goes hunting with his father.
