A virus causes a epidemic where victims slip into comas if they sleep over 1.5 hours. Survivors team up, fighting off threats while trying to revive the "sleepers." But the awakened have a shared craving for glucose, facing a new reality.

They say it all started with a series of earthquakes. There'd never been so many before. An ancient virus broke loose with volcanic eruptions. It destroyed all the leukocytes in the bloodstream. Pressure in blood vessels dropped, lungs got filled with blood, kidneys failed. If a person survived, the virus continued its way and reached the brain. I don't know how but this epidemic killed people in their sleep. They fell asleep and if they slept for over an hour and a half, they slipped into a coma. That's what happened to Nastya. Almost everyone thought she was dead but I believe she will survive. The city ran out of medicine, and money wasn't of any value anymore. Caffeine and energy drinks were our new lifestyle. And the sleepers with whom we teamed up to survive were our hope. After yet another raider attack, our group of survivors went to the sleep lab. Nastya was one of the first who managed to wake up. But then we faced a new problem. Those who woke up were not the same. Their brains craved glucose, and they were looking for it together as if led by a single force. But I still believe I will get Nastya back. Even though it will be a completely different reality.
