On the day of his wedding, Philip (31), a struggling Haitian actor living in Los Angeles receives news of his estrange father's passing. That very night he has the first dream, followed by weeks of the same recurring nightmare. A nonbeliever in the supernatural, Philip is encouraged by his Caucasian bride, Ellen (26), to embark on an ambitious endeavor with a small film crew lead by novice documentary filmmaker and friend, David (32). Their objective, to document Philip's journey back to Haiti in search of answers, and to dispel the myths of Vodou that have plagued the island since its independence in 1804. On the 7th night of filming, they uncover a secret Vodou ceremony in the middle of the forest that would lead to the disappearance of four of the crew members.
