Aspiring journalist Karli writes about the video vixen world to pay tuition, uncovering scandals as her friend Sky sleeps around for fame while Vanity hopes to get a singing career.

Karli (16), an aspiring journalist, living in the Inland Empire with her middle class parents, has to write a huge paper in order to get into her dream college, New York University. She is forced to listen to her parents argue over finances considering her dad lost his job and they cannot afford to pay the college tuition. Karli is working hard for a scholarship and her best friend Summer (17) tries to help her out by introducing her to the world of stripping. Karli, however, sees it as an opportunity to go undercover and write a story "Life Behind the Pole". We are then introduced to a brand new world, the world of Video Vixens. In this world, Sky (mid 20s), who just wants to be a star, tries to sleep her way to the top of the Vixen World, with anyone that can put her in the spotlight. She only has one friend in the industry, Vanity (mid 20s). She's perfect for Sky considering she doesn't even want to be a Vixen. Vanity is just looking for a foot in the door to be a singer. She believes working with famous artists might land her at least a feature on an album. As for Karli, she is determined to unravel hidden secrets to create the perfect story all while dealing with her crazy family drama. Little does she know a bigger story is up ahead.
