Supercut' is a term recently coined that is defined as a fast-paced montage which isolates a single element from its sources, usually a phrase or cliche. Exploring this new category along with inspiration from artists like Christian Marclay and Matthias Muller this work is an exploration into film and television's influence on society's future in science and culture. Utilizing source material from the actual form that influences me, my montaged videos highlight and exhibit concepts in the media I am discussing through its own context, allowing viewers to evaluate the overall repetitive ideas and influences affecting their own perceptions learned from this form of entertainment. The Video consists of approximately 15 minutes of hundreds of clips from film and television using time travel as a plot device.—Anonymous
