Two self-aware characters in a "Call of Duty" style video game struggle with their screwy, frustrating existence.
Sgt. Books is pissed.
He knows he's a character in a bad "Call of Duty" style video game, with absurdly powerful bosses, redundant battles, and endless supplies of virtual Vietcong.
But he can't get the pretty journalist at the end of each level and he can't get through to his gung-ho partner, Nova, who thinks being in a game is awesome (especially if he can find the secret level rated M for Mature).
So with the help of a straight-talking Monk, Books is going rogue.
