In a West Jutland provincial town, a 19-year-old woman is found in a small lake, murdered and raped. Crime Commissioner Mørch and his colleague Ejnarsen, both from the National Police Travel Team, are on the case immediately. The murder took place in Mørch's childhood town, but he is no longer one of the town's incrowd. Constantly led astray, the two criminals are persistent in finding the killer.
