Tori Vega, a teenage girl, embarks on an exciting journey when she gets accepted into Hollywood Arts, a prestigious performing arts high school for exceptionally talented teens. Alongside Tori, there are other remarkable students who eventually become her close-knit group of friends. Among them is Andre Harris, a musical prodigy with incredible skills. Robbie Shapiro, a socially awkward student, is often seen with his ventriloquist dummy named Rex. Cat Valentine, a sweet but not the brightest redhead, also joins the group. Jade West, who initially acts as Tori's frenemy, brings her sarcastic and mean-spirited personality to the mix. Jade's boyfriend, Beck Oliver, is a handsome and down-to-earth actor. Tori's older sister, Trina, is portrayed as untalented and self-absorbed. Additionally, there are other notable characters such as Erwin Sikowitz, the performing arts teacher, Lane Alexander, the school's guidance counselor, and Sinjin Van Cleef, a peculiar and sometimes unsettling classmate responsible for audiovisual tasks.
