Documentary about the work of two Dutch examining magistrates, who work within a restricted and secured department of the court. They are the first judges to speak to suspects after their arrest. Never before in The Netherlands has someone been allowed to film this department. Documentary maker Jan Katsma followed two of these special judges for more than one year in the very same department he served as a clerk.
