Muthu, a youngster from a small town near Thoothukudi, comes from struggles and perils atevery turn in his life. As a boy who harvests thorns in the dry, desolate, desert lands, he isaccustomed to danger as a daily reality. One fateful day, the scorching lands threaten to end hislife as the very thorns he harvests catch fire, resulting in a raging inferno. Rueing the dangersowing to his violent tendencies, Muthu's mother sends him to Mumbai, to work at a ParottaKadai.Flustered and overwhelmed by the metropolis, he gets accustomed to his job and finds his wayup through the ranks at the shop, all whilst dealing with the strange ruffians he now lives with.His journey introduces him to a breath of fresh air in the form of a woman, Paavai - saleswomanat a local clothes store, strong, bold, independent, witty and to this youngster from a small townin Tamil Nadu, almost daunting.Muthu's journey takes a drastic turn when he learns that he is deeply entwined in a viciousnetwork of blood, crime and killing. What the young simpleton thought was a mere Parotta shop,reveals itself in its most treacherous form - a front from all sorts of crime, a den for contractkillers.Arriving as a worker in search of a better life and some money to send back home to family,Muthu reluctantly embraces the dark side.
