Vasundhara' is about the travails and tortures inflicted on sharecroppers by people like Haji and Rupchand of Asmanpur. Jagra and Nitai who protested against them are harassed. Sishir the new BDO tries to control matters but in vain. Haji and Rupchand even manage to create a riot between Hindus and Muslims. But the people finally understand their follies and unite against them. Sishir gets transferred but vows never to bow down.
