Synopsis

This allegorical animation series is about the eternal fight between good and evil. In this series, vices and virtues are personified as characters and play out the internal and external conflict for the protagonist - King Purush (man).

King Purush is the ruler of the kingdom of Vartmaan (present). He and his virtuous friends like Sahas (Courage), Doordarshita (foresight), Saral (simplicity), Yukti (strategy), Gyan (knowledge) and many others are also the protector of the treasure of Bhavishya (future).

The kingdom of Vartmaan is constantly under attack by Sankat (trouble) and his monstrous minions (vices) like the green woman Eersha (jealousy), the shadowy Bhay (fear), the dragon Krodh (anger), the thorny creatures Adchan (obstacles) and many others. It's the job of Purush and his friends to quell Sankat's attack and save the treasure of Bhavishya from being looted.

In each encounter, Purush is confronted with a challenge, wherein Sankat (trouble) sends in a minion to defeat or kill him and loot the treasure of Bhavishya (future), the very basis of Vartmaan's existence. Purush must learn to recall the right friend to defeat Sankat's minion. So, when Sankat sends Lobh (greed), Purush uses Saral (simplicity) to counter him. Krodh (anger) is vanquished by Anand (serenity) and similarly Adchan (obstacles) are quelled by recalling Sahas at the opportune moment.

This highly popular series was not only a musical entertainer with great, indelible songs, but also gave a pertinent message to its young audience.
