A recovering addict and filmmaker from Pittsburgh embarks of a personal healing journey that's largely been inspired by political divide, the tail end of a global pandemic, and a natural curiosity that's burned in him since he was a child. Tom's beautiful and often poetic writing mixed with his low budget style, give the series an authentic and honest feel from beginning to end. While legendary and mysterious locations do cinematically fill the screen throughout, it's really the the people Tom meets along the way that not only show evidence of a beautiful and historically unique culture, but also provide subtle teachings that are reminiscent of some of those ancient written journeys that were filled with epic parables and ideologies, that felt more coming of age. Often examining the human condition through the lens of his own sorted past, Tom brings to light, addictions, demons, poverty, ecological, and sociological issues that the audience truly experiences through the filmmakers eyes.
