Sara is a young girl who dreams of studying literature but who has suffered from struggles with mental health for some time now, feelings of anxiety, emptiness and self-doubt looming ever larger. When one day, Sara's charismatic roommate and friend Veronica moves out, and her sister Maria leaves for London indefinitely, Sara's fragile life comes apart at the seams. She turns to booze, medication and self-harm to keep her mental demons at bay. But the combined effects of pharmaceutical side-effects and growing paranoia transform Sara's life into a destructive downwards spiral and renders Sara a danger for herself and her nearest and dearest.
