John White, accountant for a big underworld boss named Mancini, is arrested and pressured by the prosecutor to testify against Mancini before the grand jury, so that he can be prosecuted for one of his many crimes. The mob boss knows that his accountant is a man of weak character who is very likely to betray him, so he orders one of his trusted men to do whatever it takes so that White does not incriminate him before the jury. So they decide to turn to a certain Ian Moore, a sadistic sexual psychopath, to kidnap John White's wife.
