On the eve of World War II in Athens, a troupe of young actors plans to put on William Shakespeare's, A Midsummer Night's Dream. However, the outbreak of war changes everything. During the dark times of the German Occupation of Athens, the patriotic performers organise a resistance movement, and without a second thought, they jump into the fray in the name of freedom. Under those grave circumstances, some fall in love, while others, sacrifice themselves for the common cause. After all, it is sweet and fitting to die for the homeland.—Nick Riganas
