Jimmy, an ex-convict, returns home after 20 years to find his wife wealthy and having misrepresented him to their troubled children. He attempts to reconnect with his estranged family and help his offspring overcome their difficulties.

Jimmy Forbes returns home from Australia after 20 years on the run, to find that his wife has become wealthy and well-to-do through inheritance, and has painted a completely different picture of him to their children.
