Seven years after the death of his mother, 13-year-old Karim leaves Paris for Morocco with his father Messaoud, who has remarried and decides to return to his homeland.

Summer 86. Haunted by the death of his mother, 13-year-old Karim returns to spend the holidays with his recomposed family in Boujad, a small town in Morocco. Karim followed his father Messaoud when he agreed, in exchange for a government check and after 20 years in a factory, to leave France for good. Feeling rejected by his father who has rebuilt his life, Karim tries by all means to earn back his love.
