Brennan moves from California to a small town in Kentucky, where he faces ridicule and violence because of how his dresses and his sexual orientation.

Ukeire is based on a short story by the same name written in late 2012 by J. J. O'Hearn. This film follows a boy who moves from liberal California to more conservative Kentucky and experiences the changes in dynamics. His life changes when he decides to tell his father a truth about himself.
