Sergey is a Deputy Minister of Education, a leader by vocation, a teacher by education. He is used to teaching all his life: at work - subordinates, in relationships - his mistress-kept woman, and in life - two adult daughters, whom he takes care of alone after the death of his wife. His youngest daughter Maria works in an ordinary Moscow school. The teacher's salary is not enough, and she is forced to earn extra money. Maria can easily take advantage of her father's position, but she prefers independence. Men like her, but pride and excessive demands on people prevent her from being happy. Maria takes the problems of her students to heart, tries to solve them using non-standard pedagogical methods.
