African American Attorney. Wife and mother killed in automobile accident by client Client confess to crime. Client confesses to the authorities.

Tyler Perry Mason (African American) who is a top gun Malibu criminal attorney. The first episode "Black Cat"; his wife and mother were killed in an automobile accident, deemed a homicide. He receives a call from one of his client that she is being charged with double homicides. He was to meet her at the police station for routine questioning. She confesses to the crime once she learned that victims were Mr. Mason's wife and mother. Upon his mother death her learns that he is bi-racial. The episode's format is basically the same: each half hour show has a prospective murder victim. The body is found by a third party or (often by Tyler or with his secretary Francine Daley played by La Cora Stephens who through circumstance happen to stumble upon the body). Homicide detective Grayson played by Olivier Saint- Victor is Mason's nemeses. Tyler establishes his client's innocence by investigation and dramatically demonstrating the guilt of another character. The murderer nearly always breaks down and confesses to the crime - in the police station - in the courtroom - on the witness stand.—Sophia Rabanes
