A condemned murderer, in the process of being executed, relives the events that led to his being sentenced to die in the electric chair.
Allen claims he his being executed for the wrong murder. Flashbacks show him working with Clark as a riveter. When he makes a killing on the horses he meets Shirley and gets married. When Clark tells him Shirley is unfaithful they fight and Clark falls to his death. Later he finds that Clark was telling the truth.—Ed Stephan <[email protected]>
John Allen has flashback of his life leading up to his execution. He is a riveter by trade, but he goes out and gets drunk and marries Shirley, a dance hall girl. His roomie and co-worker Bud is against the union, but Allen won't back down. They argue at work at the top of a 6" steel beam, and Bud falls to his death. Allen, in a deep depression, hits a big windfall on the horses and goes to find Shirley.
