This series follows two families, the Daleys and the Armstrongs, who are neighbors. The Daleys are a blended family: Ann is a construction engineer who has son Scott from a previous marriage, who's a little rebellious; Jim, who works at his family's dairy farm. has an adopted Vietnamese daughter; and Ann and Jim have son Willie together.
