Asumi Kamogawa (Nanami Sakuraba) has always held a strong interest in outer space, influenced by her father Tomoyuki Kamogawa (Masahiro Takashima). When Asumi was a young child, Tomoyuki designed Japan's first manned rocket named "The Lion." Unfortunately, the rocket crashed into their very own hometown, killing many of the residents. Her father felt responsible the mishap and has carried a deep sense of guilt ever since. Once Asumi graduates from middle school she decides to enter the Tokyo Space Academy, a high school for aspiring astronauts.
