Liu Xia (Angelababy) is a young, talented psychologist, who is about to give a keynote speech at a conference for counselors. But on her way to the event, she notices something amiss about a man who takes the same elevator as her. She eventually deduces that he is intending to jump to his death from the roof of the building. So, rather than deliver the speech, she rushes off to the building to talk him out of suicide, while a crowd of people watches on below. He is working on the script in a cafe nearby, and is awed to see that a psychologist can save the day too. A twist of fate brings them into contact with one another, and they soon decide to collaborate: Qi Lian Shan asks Liu Xia to help him develop his script.
