Addie and Nana develop a close friendship after an accidental text message. Addie goes to visit Nana, where she meets Nana's son James. After years of spending holidays together, Addie and James start to view each other differently.

Addie works as a chiropractor in New York. During the holiday season, she receives a text message that was sent to her by mistake. The older woman who sent it, Nana, lives in Vermont. Addie and Nana become friendly, and Nana invites Addie to her home for Christmas. Addie is usually the kind of person who plays it safe. However, with her own family out of the country, she accepts the invitation. Addie is welcomed by the rest of Nana's family, including the son, James. This starts a new Christmas tradition in which Addie could find a new family and maybe even love.—Patrick Lin
