The story is the journey of a girl who believes that her husband's love shall continue the same way after marriage too and he shall support her through thick and thin to achieve her dreams.

Riya, an intern with a hospital, raised in a modern set up with an open minded loving family, wants to pursue her career She is in love with Abhimanyu who comes from a very traditional family where love marriage is a strict no and also the women are not allowed to work after marriage. Abhimanyu who wants his family and love both without giving away either, puts his best effort to get married to Riya by somehow managing all the fronts and promises Riya that he shall stay the same after marriage. Abhi and Riya get married after many obstacles. When Riya is about to do the ritual to be accepted by her mother-in-law as a daughter-in-law, things do not go as planned when Aanchal Abhi's school mate/ obsessive lover who Abhi didn't know (Aanchal fell obsessively in love with him after seeing him perform, Abhi doesn't know her and casually says "I love you too" when he hears a fan (Aanchal) scream in the audience) who died a day ago returns with her soul to separate Riya and Abhi and try to obtain a man who never loved her.
