Activist Dennis Flores dedicates his life to defending the oppressed and disenfranchised in his community against the onslaught of economic injustice and police brutality. However, when he falls in love with a fellow activist, he is confronted with the difficult decision of how much time he can devote to his adapted community family and still provide for the new family he longs to create as a husband and father.
