When seven-year old Pen asks for world peace for Christmas, only an energetic teen with a fatal secret and a twisted past is willing to play the role of Santa Claus. Pen's mother is consumed by the promise of tradition and a passion to shelter her daughter from modern cynicism. Her father is consumed by confusion and longing for lost family footage, communicating through ramblings and philosophies without cohesion or direction. While waiting to regain passion for his family and embrace the urge to film again, he launches into Pen and Santa's crazy schemes with forced enthusiasm and reckless hope.
