In the film, in Chicago, Illinois, USA, in 2018, Tyrese Wilson rebels against his own family empire, the Wilson Empire, who manufacture and profit from Poorzines, a deadly drug that has taken over the city. So Tyrese forms the Trap Team with some new allies in it; Monica Hart, Alexis Stewart, Ricky Davidson, and Rose Hart.
