Town Challenge is Northern Irelands favourite game show. Each weeks two towns from the country battle against each other in a series of fun competitions and challenges and the overall winner recieves the Town Challenge Trophy.

Town Challenge has visited Armagh, Ballyclare, Bangor, Broughshane, Coleraine, Donemana, Dungiven, Enniskillen, Lisnaskea, Londonderry, Newtownards, Portadown, Portrush, Rostrevor, Strabane and Warrenpoint. In 2000 George Jones left the show to contine with his work on BBC Radio Ulster and BBCs Christine Bleakly and Big Brothers Tom McDermott joined the crew to assist Uncle Hugo.—Peter Coulter
