Three tales inspired in the work and life of Juan José Saer. A police officer return to his hometown to investigate a murder; a teacher complaints about an abandoned horse; a dead man is found and there is no trace of the horse, the only witness to the murder.—Edu Crespo
Philippe Toublanc, a policeman from Paris, returns to his hometown in Brittany to investigate the case of a young workman who was killed by a co-worker with a stab to the head in a neighboring wasteland. In Santa Fe, Argentina, Clara Ríos, a French teacher who lives with her dog, complains about a horse that has been tied up in the corner of her house. One day a police officer knocks on her door to take statements: a dead body has been found in a neighboring wasteland and there is no sign of the animal. A skinny brown horse is the only "witness" to the murder, but will never be able to "tell" what happened. Meanwhile, one of Clara's students starts obsessing with her, stalking and following her around, writing works for the class that reveals he knows so much about her, and that he has a very poetic way to let her know.—exe_malaga93
