A barfly jazz pianist must commit murder in exchange for his drug debt to a crooked cop.

Sebastian Poe (Billy Blair), a barfly jazz pianist, is trying to make ends meet, gigging at seedy jazz clubs to support his ailing sister Elise (Lori Petty). Work has dried up, and Sebastian becomes indebted to a corrupt police detective, Terry (Jason Coviello). When he can't pay up, Terry offers him one alternative - he must murder Stanley (Ed Westwick), a ruthless drug dealer, by the night's end. Sebastian desperately wants to play the piano, but first he must traverse the dark streets of Deep Ellum and silence his conscience.
