'To Stand and Stare: An English Landscape' is a 75 minute documentary which takes on the dilemma of the ever-present digital image, the irresistible force and the singular power of personal experience. Over a period of 5 years the celebrated artist and cinematographer Terry Flaxton and the artist and producer Charlotte Humpston, whilst living and working in Somerset gathered a series of images which become a lyrical love letter to the people and landscape of Somerset, in the belief that what is true for this local community, is also true for everyone the world over.—Anonymous
