Summaries

In this loose adaptation of Dimitris Bogris's melodramatic theatrical play named "The Girl of the Harbour", Anna--the young, kind, and romantic daughter of a struggling couple of tavern keepers--finds herself torn between her passion for two men. Now, as a decent but impecunious man swears eternal devotion, and a seductive mariner, who cherishes his freedom, promises her the stars and the moon to have her, Anna finds herself carried away by the tempestuous feeling of desire. However, this is an unbearable burden for a delicate dreamer, and, inevitably, Anna will soon have to make a difficult decision. Will things ever be the same again?—Nick Riganas
