Two sons are getting married and bring their wieves to the family house. Different attitudes and bad temper lead to inevitable drama and emotional turmoil as life happens to every character in the series.

The events unfold in a remote Ukrainian village, where the Kaidash family lives, led by Omelko, who is addicted to alcohol. His wife Marusya is concerned about the future of their two adult sons, who are looking for suitable brides. In the center of the plot is the confrontation between Marusya Kaydash and young daughters-in-law, with whom she tries to get along under the same roof. The plot of the TV series is based on the social novella Kaidash's Family by Ivan Nechuy-Levytskyi.—ljustmr
