To mark the 100th anniversary of the maritime disaster on 15 April 1912, "Titanic" portrays the sheer contrasts of the then society, recounting the ill-fated passengers' stories through different points of view. The miniseries focuses on the intersecting narratives of travellers from every social level: it depicts the fate of the aristocratic Mantons, the Irish Batleys, the ship's designers, the crew, and the steerage passengers of the luxurious but doomed passenger liner R.M.S.
