We follow the elf, Tinka, on her quest to find the Christimas star and the lost magic of the elves. On her search she finds a way into the human world, where she meets and gains the help of the human boy, Lasse.

Centers on Tinka, an elf girl who becomes an outcast when the people of the elf kingdom she lives in discover that she is half human. To regain their trust, she decides to search for and bring back the lost Christmas star, which was stolen by the humans a hundred years earlier and caused the elves to lose their magic. In the human world, she meets and befriends Lasse, a human boy who, much like herself, struggles to fit in, and who agrees to help her.
