In the aftermath of the German Occupation of Greece, a heartbroken father offers a substantial reward to a fallen aristocrat to take on the identity of a missing serviceman and pretend to be the beau of his dying daughter.

In the aftermath of the German Occupation of Greece, Konstadinos Mavroleon, a heartbroken father and highly successful businessman, makes a proposition to Alekos Kallergis, a fallen aristocrat and habitual gambler, that he can't refuse. As one thing leads to another, Mavroleon offers Alekos a substantial reward to take on the identity of Dimos Fokas, an officer of the Greek Army presumed missing in action. But as the impostor poses as the serviceman's spitting image, the most crucial part of the plan is for Alekos to pretend to be the beau of Mavroleon's dying daughter, Olga. For the next three months, Alekos must do everything to make Olga happy and provide her with comfort and companionship. However, the question remains. If everything goes as planned, can love ease the suffering of a young woman facing such an unfortunate fate?—Nick Riganas
