Four friends, three couples, two lovers, one night. Watch as a terrible secret unfolds that threatens to destroy both the lives and loves of all involved. Where there is love... there is pain.
Presented in a non-linear, fragmented fashion, 'Thursday's Lovers' tells the story of four longtime friends; Eli (Ivan Borntrager), a struggling writer; Margo (Michelle Fischer), his neglected housewife; Evie (Rebecca DeRoche), a semi-successful poet; and Mark (Brandon Dobbins), her anger-filled husband.
For years now, Eli and Evie have been having an affair behind Mark and Margo's backs, and they are very much in love, meeting every Thursday at a shady motel for an erotic rendezvous. They dream of a life together, in the open, but are bound to the loyalties of marriage and friendship. Eli is writing a book called 'Thursday's Lovers', which also happens to be the name of the poem Evie is most famous for, and both their spouses are oblivious to its actual meaning, until tonight...
Over the course of one night their relationships are explored and dissected for the viewer, bringing into question the nature of true love and its consequences. Secrets are revealed and relationships broken apart, all leading closer to the shocking truth that will destroy them all...
Where there is love... there is pain.
